Available exclusively to Courage Club members, this December release is a truly exceptional expression of American Single Malt. Limited to just 500 bottles, Spanish Oak Sherry Cask highlights the rare and distinctive influence of Spanish Oak (Quercus Robur) sherry butts coopered in Jerez, Spain, and seasoned with both Oloroso and PX sherries.
Spanish Oak is notoriously difficult to work with—its wild growth yields very few usable casks—but the results are extraordinary. This whisky opens with aromas of lemon, golden raisin, and honeycomb, followed by layered flavors of dried cherry, plum, maple syrup, coffee, leather, and cinnamon.
Aged for over seven years and bottled at cask strength, this is one of our most limited, expressive, and sought-after Courage Club releases to date.
